Grace is a free gift. You only have to accept it.

Rewritten: We are justified by faith in Christ. This idea is so clear in the New Testament. The question that occurred to me, that I haven’t recalled the answer to, is: How (or why) does the act of “accepting” Christ’s free gift legitimize(?) the gift?

    Are you asking why acceptance is necessary? Or why our knowledge of Christ somehow validates the gift of salvation?

    I think why our knowledge of Christ validates the gift of salvation. I think this is an easy one. Just couldn’t come up with it and neither did the first three people I asked.
